Denemo is Alive

Denemo is starting on a new phase of development. Find the new developmentroadmap in cvs or source package.

Our aim is to make denemo an actual editor for Lilypond. This means not only exporting to Lilypond (www.lilypond.org) but the ability to open lilypond files and to edit them simultaneously in Denemo and a dedicated text editor. Denemo will be able to play notation files karoke style with scrolling playback

The latest release of Denemo offers a useful midi import function as well as a complete rehaul of the C Sound playback system. Now you can access recent files from the File menu. We added bookmarks and moved from C++ to pure C code.

The Denemo team has started beta testing the windows and Fink versions of our latest stable versions, if you are interested, please contact us.

Denemo development has geared up! Denemo is completly revamping its score setup interface. More importantly we have started making the output to Lilypond more useful, including the adding of support for modes.

Now Denemo is actually useful for entering single staff polyphony. Score Navigation has also gained features to help you notatate large scores.

Speed and more speed, since Denemo is for keyboard notaters now you can insert clef and time signiture changes without using a dialog box, cudos to Adam Tee.

Much work has gone into Denemo documentation. Besides a helpful Users Manual work has begun on comprehensive keyboard shortcut charts for all existing keybinding files.

Now is the time to join the mailing list and let us know how we can improve Denemo. Denemo will only be as good as its users. Click on the mailing list link on the left already and joinup.
